Group Sales and Marketing Manager (Care Home Industry)

The Job Role

The Group Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing a sales and marketing business plan for the Future Care Group. Providing tactical and strategic sales and marketing support to the Group and its Homes. To build and increase occupancy, brand awareness, company image, customer service and develop relationships with key stakeholders while maximising profitability.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Future Care Group, its business and ethos, and the issues facing Home Managers in marketing and maintaining high levels of occupancy within their homes.
  • Provide training to staff within the Group/Homes to maximise occupancy and fee growth.
  • Develop and implement local and regional tactical and longer-term lead generation initiatives.
  • Develop local community involvement and networking strategies
  • Plan execute and support sales and marketing strategies at all homes including digital marketing campaigns.
  • Create sales and marketing targets and monitor progress
  • Monitor local competitive activity and market trends to ensure proactive programs are developed to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Prepare and communicate marketing activity reports.
  • Manage PR events and media to positively promote the Group’s image.
  • Help identify the company's target market in each area, and how to approach the potential residents via various channels.
  • Create and Manage the Image Library and coordinate new photography as necessary.
  • Liaising with printers, designers and photographers, advertisers, communications
  • Information sourcing and research
  • Identify and disseminate examples of marketing and sales best practice from our homes and to the rest of the business for their ongoing benefit
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationship with all support departments.
  • Support the coordination of central events such as presence at exhibitions and conferences as well as our internal initiatives.
  • Work with computerised enquiry and data systems.

At the Home level

  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders to maximise business development opportunities. 
  • Work with homes to ensure implementation to key national campaigns are delivered on a local and regional level
  • Proactively establish internal and external relationships that meet the Future Care Group Standards.
  • Responsible for in house marketing team’s full understanding of the Future Care Group sales process and method.
  • Conduct and monitor the required processes needed to increase Occupancy and Fee rates.
  • Establish the right fees for each home in accordance with the chosen pricing strategy and branding.
  • Make sure the home and the rooms are well presented.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced professional in the Care Industry who is highly motivated with a genuine drive to succeed. A professional with a proven track record of implementing Sales & Marketing plans and budgets. This person must be confident in presenting to board level.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and be confident in presenting to various audiences. Strong communication, facilitation, consultation and influencing skills are required, as well as process management and interpersonal skills and ability to build good working relationships. The successful Group Sales and Marketing manager must have good IT and computer skills, be commercially astute and creative, analytical with strong attention to detail. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills with experience in preparing reports and developing and implementing innovative solutions.
